Albany man accused of DWI after Clifton Park crash
CLIFTON PARK An Albany man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after an accident Saturday evening.
Jeffrey D. Horton, 40, of Wellington Avenue, was arrested Sunday upon his release from Albany Medical Center, where he was treated for an eye injury, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department said.
He faces charges including felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, three counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree assault, reckless driving and Vehicle and Traffic charges, deputies said.
He was jailed in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond after an appearance before Town Justice James Hughes.
Horton was involved in an accident at 7:36 p.m. Saturday at Northway Exit 8 and Crescent Road. Deputies said he exited the southbound interstate and failed to stop at a stop light, striking a vehicle driven by Shaynie Devalia, 31, of Clifton Park. She was admitted to Albany Medical Center for treatment of a toe injury and a concussion.
