Downtown Ballston Spa reeks of natural gas this afternoon after village employees hit a gas line on Low Street around 1 p.m. According to Ballston Spa Fire Department Assistant Chief Bill Lewis, village employees were doing work on the street, nearby the new location of Augie's Restaurant at 17 Low St., when a gas line ruptured.
