Latham man faces drug, weapon charges

— A Latham resident faces multiple felony charges for alleged drug possession and sales and possession of a switchblade knife, authorities said.

Hakim S. Holmes, 28, of Columbia Street, is accused of possessing and selling cocaine at an Albany Street address twice in February and once in March, according to papers filed in court. He was arrested Thursday at Fifth Avenue and Pleasant Street, accused of possessing the switchblade, which was illegal due to a previous criminal conviction, according to papers.

Holmes faces multiple counts of third-degree criminal possession and criminal sale of a controlled substance as well as one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies.
