King clings to mayoral win in Gloversville

With absentee ballots counted, incumbent mayor retains slim lead

Incumbent Mayor Dayton King picked up fewer than half as a many absentee ballots votes as his Republican primary challenger, Michael Ponticello, in counts conducted this morning at the Fulton County Board of Elections. King remains the victor of the Sept. 10 election contest, however, winning by a total of 13 votes.
