High schools: Patriots hand Tartans another one-goal loss

Last year’s Foothills Council boys’ soccer co-champions renewed acquaintances Monday night and played to their 11th consecutive one-goal final. Broadalbin-Perth came away with the 1-0 win over Scotia-Glenville, getting the winner from Joe Zarecki with about 12 minutes left in regulation. Logan Ackley threaded the pass through to Zarecki. The Patriots (3-0-0 Foothills Council, 3-0-0 overall) outshot the Tartans, 20-10, and had seven corners to Scotia’s one. Devin Page made five saves for the shutout. ...
