Let's see. The Independence Party is controlled by the unionized firefighters. The Conservative Party is controlled by the unionized police department. And the Working Family Party is controlled by the unionized Service Employees International Union (SEIU). And most of the endorsed candidates of these parties are DEMS. The Sch'dy Co Legislature has ONE (1) Republican out of 15 legislators. We have a lower turnover of politicians than the Politburo. This is not what our Founding Fathers envisioned. Even FDR warned of the hazards of a unionized government workforce. And in 1958, JFK bowed to political pressure from LaGuardia to permit collective bargaining for the NYC city workers. Since then, the public worker unions have crushed Republicans. And it continues apace in Schenectady County.
