Man accused of tampering with Schenectady burglary scene

A Glenville man is facing an unusual evidence-tampering charge for allegedly intentionally contaminating a burglary scene by touching potentially crucial evidence before police arrived, authorities said. John M. Cummings, 41, of 6 Ellen St., was arrested last week and accused of showing up at the home of an acquaintance just after she discovered the burglary. He allegedly touched an air conditioner and a mail holder prior to police arriving, according to papers filed in court. ...
