Colonie police ask parents' help in controlling Halloween misbehavior
COLONIE Colonie police officials are trying to cut down on large crowds of youth congregating on Halloween night by asking parents not to drop their children off in other neighborhoods.
A police press release reads:
“We would ask all parents the following: When your children are asking to be dropped off in another neighborhood on Halloween, would you like the parents from those areas to be dropping their unsupervised children off on your street?”
The large crowds of youths, police say, pose a higher risk of criminal activity and a danger that someone could get injured.
