Gibson, Republicans need to give up the fight over Obamacare Rep. [Chris] Gibson’s recent newsletter twists the truth, to put it generously. Republicans brag that they got subsidy verifications written into the Affordable Care Act [ACA]. Of course, verification requirements for subsidies were written into the ACA from the start; it is so obvious as to be laughable. Clearly, Republicans “agreed” to this provision in order to save face for holding hostage the U.S. government ...

Diane is the classic low information, repeat the DNC talking points at all cost, voter. 24 billion is a guesstimate. It mostly includes money that furloughed workers supposedly didn't spend. Since they knew they were on a paid vacation that is simply inane. 78% of Americans say it had no effect on them and 11% said little. The Bush tax cuts hurt the economy. yadda yadda yadda. Judith cant seem to grasp the steady revenue increase under Bush and the contribution those tax cuts made to the federal coffers. As for the unfunded wars, the peak annual cost of both wars was 187 Billion dollars in 2008. A year in which we ran a 495 billion dollar deficit against revenues of 2.5 Trillion. When Bush took office revenues were around 2 trillion. Bush didnt plan 911 and the spending on wars that followed. They were the result of Clintons refusal to deal with Bin Laden. Period. Medicare D prescription plan was something Democrats opposed only because it was Bush. They wanted it to be theirs. Benghazi? Maybe she should actually read about what happened from something other then DNC flyers. All Embassy attacks are not Benghazi and none except this one were cover-ups. I would rather live under a disgraceful Tea Party then the socialist Democrat Party.

Liberals or are they progressives or are they democrats? You have to wonder about a political party that changes it's name every four years or so. Once people realize what these people are and what they have done they change their name. What they really are is socialists which is a precursor to Communism.

I fear that we have become too concerned about being politically correct and being part of the in crowd. While the facts show that are economy is collapsing and our government is failing us and future generations miserably. Obama and his storm troopers tell us how they are only concerned about us and want us to be happy. Sure they aren't perfect, but they are trying. The fact that they keep passing laws with out reading or understanding them is only proof that they are working so hard for us, that they don't have time. Democrats keep stating that the majority of Americans love them, and so should we. Why don't we want to be part of the in crowd, maybe that is the problem. It is called the AFFORDABLE Care act, how could it be anything else?

Talk about talking points!!!!!! When are you guys going to come up with solutions? Instead of bashing and lying about the current administration, tell us what you will do to make our lives better!!! I guess the gerrymandering better be good so that you can actually win an election and do things your way - if you can ever figure out what that is.

We know what it is Jane, it's LIMITED government, it is term limits, it is school choice, it is a balanced budget and it certainly is NOT Obamacare.

We could start by teaching and expecting people to be responsible to themselves, their families and their community.

Judith must live on another planet for her letter is not only a twist of truth but mostly absence of fact. There must have been a letter more veracious than this one in the paper's mailbox.

janesjoys, here let me fix your second sentence. It must have been an inadvertent typo on your part. "When are you guys going to come up with solutions that agree with the DNC". See, Conservative solutions are "NO" solutions because they are not your solutions. When I look at a flat tire, I dont think, how can I get more votes out of this. If I did then my solutions would look just like your solutions. The cost would be enormous. The tire would never get fixed, and the problem would still exist.

Judith, yes, Obamacare is the law of the land, but only for some. Others seem to have been exempted. I wonder why that is.
