Halfmoon man charged with growing marijuana

A Halfmoon man faces misdemeanors for allegedly growing marijuana at his residence, state police said Monday. Thomas E. Brown, 45, was chargedwith unlawfully growing cannabis and fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors. A search of Brown’s residence uncovered more than 40 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, police said. Brown was released to return to court later.
