A former VFW official accused of taking an estimated $15,000 from his post will receive no jail time under a plea deal reached with the judge in his case. Paul J. There should be SOME form of punishment here - if only a LOT of community service.

I also question why a perp should be forgiven the amount covered by a victim's insurance? That is getting a "free ride", paid for by the fact the victim had insurance. Rizzo's court-ordered restitution should NOT be limited to the post's out-of-pocket loss, but the entire amount.
