Boys' soccer: Estremera's goal all Patriots need

Justin Estremera’s goal early in the second half Tuesday stood up as Schenectady edged CBA, 1-0, Tuesday in a Big 10 boys’ soccer game.

Zabee Topalozi set up the goal, and Andrew Cyr made four saves as the Patriots went to 2-3-1 in the league.

Alexi Broshnihan scored as LaSalle downed Amsterdam, 1-0, in another Big 10 game.

Chris Czekey scored off a Connor O’Brien corner kick two minutes into the game, and Guilderland beat Shenendehowa, 1-0, for its sixth straight Suburban Council win.

Kedrick Weeden made three saves for the 8-2-0 Dutchmen. Shenendehowa fell to 7-2-1.

Tyler Hanft and Michael Law had the goals as Niskayuna topped Columbia, 2-0, to also get to 7-2-1 in the SC North.

Kieran Mottau scored in the first minute of sudden-death overtime to give Saratoga Springs a 3-2 SC win over Colonie.

Avi Durling and Noah Van Zandt had the other Saratoga goals. Paolo Cuorto had both goals for Colonie.

Trevor de las Alas scored early in the second half as Bethlehem came from behind to down Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 2-1.

Paul Boni gave the Spartans the lead, before Alex Kerker tied the game late in the first half.

Connor DeFilippis scored early in the game, assisted by Thomas Preece, to give Ballston Spa a 1-0 victory over Mohonasen. The Scotties have won three straight.

Mac Hoyt scored early in the second half, and Owen Nuss added a pair of goals as Averill Park shut out Shaker, 3-0. Hunter DuPont made 12 saves to get the shutout.

Dami Osofisan scored three goals, and both Billy Melchionni and John Moutopoulos scored a pair of goals as Albany Academy ran past Mechanicville, 9-3, in the Colonial Council.

Ryan Uccelini and Jordan Lockridge had the other Cadets’ goals.

Adam Urbatis had two goals for Mechanicville.

Vince Greco set up a Carlos Rueter goal, then headed home a Tyler Johnston corner kick later in the first half as Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk defeated Voorheesville,

2-1, for its fourth straight Colonial Council win. Kevin Clark had the goal for the Blackbirds.

Seth Scarano ran his varsity career total to 97 goals with a trio of scores, leading unbeaten Ichabod Crane past Cobleskill-Richmondville, 9-0. Six other Riders had a goal.

Dakota Franklin scored 30 seconds into the game and finished with four goals as Lansingburgh blanked Watervliet, 6-0.

Kyle Elliott’s three goals helped Waterford-Halfmoon beat Doane Stuart, 6-1, to move to 7-0-0 atop the Central Hudson Valley League.

Aaron Catchpole scored with six minutes remaining, as Loudonville Christian School played to a 1-1 draw with Germantown in the CHVL.
