Schenectady pair accused of stealing purse at Thanksgiving dinner
BRUNSWICK A pair of Schenectady residents are accused of stealing the purse of another guest while having Thanksgiving dinner at a home in Brunswick.
State police said Michelle Lamm, 49, and Christopher LaClair, 41, were invited for dinner Thursday at the home of LaClair's sister in Brunswick. After the meal, LaClair’s brother-in-law was diring LaClair and Lamm back to Schenectady when he received a call to return with them to the home, troopers said.
After the three had left, troopers said, another guest had discovered her purse was missing and it was determined that LaClair and Lamm had stolen it prior to leaving. State police were called and took the two into custody.
Both were charged with petit larceny and released on tickets to appear Wednesday in Brunswick Town Court.
