Schenectady bank robbery suspect to get 6 months in jail

A suspect in an October bank robbery will get six months in jail after a guilty plea on Friday. A prosecutor said the plea deal was based on the man’s lack of a criminal history and circumstances leading up to the robbery. Aram Silva, 28, pleaded guilty in Schenectady County Court to one count of third-degree attempted robbery, a felony. Silva was accused of robbing the Trustco Bank at 1700 Union St. on Oct. 2, ...
