With only a handful of emergency calls in the town on Tuesday, there wasn’t very much business for any ambulance company — especially the one no longer dispatched by Rotterdam police. Starting at midnight, dispatchers were under a directive to send one of two rigs from Mohawk Ambulance stationed in town to all emergency calls. Mohawk has already broken their agreement. They only have one ambulance stationed in the town at any given time, not the two suggested by the town board. Why does the board need to disp MAS for a " seamless transition" according to Buffardi? Sounds like they already know who's gonna win the contract! It would seem more seem less with REMS Ssince the town has been dispatching them for 77 years vs. having to call MAS to disp a crew every time there is a call. Hummmmm seems like there's a rat somewhere!
