Rotterdam police warn of scam involving bogus grandchild in distress

Rotterdam police are reminding residents to be suspicious of anyone calling unexpectedly and requesting money, after residents reported receiving from people perpetrating a grandpa-grandson scam. In the scam, a caller calls and identifies himself as the caller’s grandchild. When the resident responds with a name, the caller uses that name to further the scam.
