Police say man damaged Schenectady home during burglary, stole bat

A man allegedly broke into a home and stole a baseball bat, authorities said. Fountaine Lewis Jr., 27, of 2700 Curry Road, Colonie, is accused of breaking into a Stanley Street residence Friday afternoon, according to papers filed in court. In the process, he allegedly caused more than $3,000 in damage to a door frame and window.
