Accidental shooting results in prison sentence for Schenectady man

A man who accidentally shot himself and a woman in Schenectady last year was sentenced this week to more than five years in prison on a weapons charge, the prosecutor said. Juan Medina, 25, of Garnerville, pleaded guilty in May to one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. In return, he received a sentence of 51⁄2 years in prison Thursday.
