@Tom, Apparently I received different lit than you did. The flood of lit I got from the county republicans was full of lies, half-truths and spin. I especially liked the pulp fiction that accused certain candidates of double-dipping and painted others as a political boss, both claims are laughable at the least. I received lit with false figures about Glenville's tax increases (12%, look it up yourself)and an accusation of over 40% taxes going to welfare. The Democratic lit was truthful, citing figures of tax breaks and loans, but apparently the republicans don't want the truth to get out. As far as signs, the democrats lost countless signs, stolen or torn, I've even seen pictures of people sandwiching the costlykoetzle.com signs, so that they could not be seen. Those were targeted hardest. Before pointing fingers about campaigning, look in the mirror first.
