Class D Football: Indians trounce Rams

— Cambridge defeated Rensselaer in the Section II Class D championship for the third time in the last four years, 36-14, Saturday afternoon at Schuylerville Junior-Senior High School.

The Indians (10-0) beat the Rams in Week 6 and had no trouble this time, as well.

Caleb Rowland ran for a pair of touchdowns for Cambridge. Sean Harbig caught a 13-yard scoring pass from Ethan English, and Chris Warnken scored on a one-yard run and also returned an interception 52 yards for another Cambridge score.

Rensselaer, which drew even with the Indians at halftime, 14-14,was led by quarterback Steven Harwood, who ran for one score and tossed a 25-yard TD pass to Brandon Butler.
