Troy man accused of trying to choke girlfriend in Schenectady
SCHENECTADY A Troy man face stands accused of choking his girlfriend and breaking her television, authorities said.
Keita Williams, 42, of 313 Ninth St., is accused of choking his girlfriend Saturday morning at a Van Vranken Avenue residence, impeding her breathing and violating an order of protection, according to papers filed in court. He is also accused of breaking her television.
Williams faces one count of third-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal contempt, felonies. He also faces a misdemeanor count of criminal obstruction of breathing.
