Doris Kane belted a three-run double in the fourth inning Wednesday, and Guilderland knocked off second-seeded Colonie, 4-1, in a Class AA semifinal played at Veeder Park in Colonie.

Mackenzie Lozano followed Kane’s hit with an RBI single as the fourth-seeded Lady Dutch made the most of the two hits they got off Colonie starter Kelly Lane.

Taylor Tewksbury got the pitching win for 13-7 Guilderland, which beat Colonie last year in the semis, and lost both games this season in Suburban Council play.

Bethlehem, the No. 5 seed, scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning to upset defending champ and top seed Shenendehowa, 5-3, in the other ‘AA’ semi at Veeder Park.

Genevieve Paeglow hit an RBI double, and Jessie Fleck singled in a run in the Bethlehem eighth.

Shenendehowa got two of the runs back in the home eighth before Bethlehem got the third out. Bethlehem had tied the game, 1-1, in the sixth on a bases-loaded walk. Mikayla Shade and Amanda Halek led off the winning rally with singles.

Top-seeded Troy beat Queensbury, 10-2, at Moreau Rec in a Class A semifinal.

Freshman Kaitlin DelSignore hit a three-run home run and a double, driving in four runs, as Troy got to a softball sectional final for the first time since 1994.

Eighth-grader Hunter Levesque scattered seven hits, and ninth-grader Lexi Lewis hit a single and a double and drove in a run as the Lady Horses went to 19-2.

Troy will get second-seeded South Glens Falls in Friday’s 5 p.m. championship at Moreau Rec. The Lady Bulldogs, who have won 13 sectional titles since 1997, including three straight Class A championships, beat Averill Park, 5-0, in the other Class A semi.

State champ Greenwich moved into Friday’s Class C title game against Mechanicville with a 1-0, nine-inning win over Albany Academy.

Easton Murray singled home Ashleigh Maines with one out in the bottom of the ninth for the 20-3 second-seeded Witches, who got all three of their hits in the ninth.

Maines led off with a single, and with one out, Kali Nolan singled to put runners at first and third. Murray then singled home the winner.

Mechanicville and Greenwich will play at 5 p.m. Friday at Clifton Common.

State champ Chatham beat Cohoes, 3-1, in a Class B semifinal behind Kayla Doty’s four-hitter.

Second-seeded Tamarac beat Taconic Hills, 4-1, in the other Class B semi behind a five-hitter from Briana Matazinsky. Chatham and Tamarac will play for the title Friday at 5 at Clifton Common.

Emily Rifenburgh threw a four-hitter, and Angela Fix and Caitlin Pasco each went 2-for-4 as Germantown beat CHVL rival Loudonville Christian School, 5-1, in a Class D semi. Ange Stephano hit a triple for Loudonville Christian.
