New York state must stop letting electorate decide school budgets Yahoo! Fewer than 30 school budgets failed at the polls May 21. We have good budgets. We have schools supported by the people of our communities. Our people care. Sorry, but this is just not true. The school budget vote process in New York state is counterproductive at best and should be eliminated immediately. School administrators and boards of education are crafting budgets they hope ...

Randy Hayner, I could have gotten on a plane in Albany and have been in Benghazi in time to save those four Americans. If you watched the Senate hearings you would have seen the testimony that special forces were told to stand down not once but twice. You people need to stop the lies and as I told janesjoys last week, be a different kind of liberal and take responsibility for once.

Randy Hayner, you are right. These right wingers should show the same respect for Obama that the left showed Bush. Its been proven that Benghazi is a partisan witch-hunt and that our President did nothing, absolutely nothing, wrong. Its been proven that he knew nothing of the IRS scandal. Its been proven that he had no knowledge what so ever of the AP scandal. Obama is a great president who is abused by a racist right wing that should simply allow him king like powers to transform America into the socialist utopia that we all dream of. Wmarincic needs to get a clue and thats been proven!

Who are you kidding Phils? Year after his Presidency the left continues to lie about the Bush years. Nothing has been proven about Obama's current scandals. In Watergate no one died. Tapping the press, enemies list, IRS audits are crimes all too familiar. What did the President know and when did he know it?

Phils2008 & Randy Hayner, You are right, Obama did nothing about Benghazi, he went to bed while four Americans were being killed.

School budget voting – There must be some deep rooted history as to why there are these school budget votes in NY. It certainly is not a democratic way of funding education when so few decide the financial fate of so many, on a Tuesday every May. If the State funded all schools totally (like in many states), distributing the funds according to a equalized formula, all children would have a better opportunity to obtain an education. Children cannot decide where they live. Why should a child in an affluent community have a better chance than a child in a less affluent place? It doesn’t seen fair. If the State controlled all school funding, maybe educational services would be conducted more efficiently and there wouldn’t be all these bloated little school districts that compete for and waste tax dollars at the expense of educating all of our children.

"Right Wing Haters?" I thought we were going to knock off the name calling.... I guess if it doesn't fit your opinion it's "spewing innuendo". How about you live by your own words and respect other people's opinions......you, you name caller you!
