Stillwater man charged with hosting underage booze party in hay field
A large party in a Town of Stillwater hay field has resulted in charges against the party's host, accused of serving alcohol to underage attendees and even hosting the party in a field he didn't own.
Authorities were alerted to the party by the land's owner, police said. The party took place May 18.
Daniel A. Glogowski, 21, of Stillwater, is accused of arranging and hosting a party in which 200 to 300 individuals attended. The party was hosted in a hay field that was allegedly commandeered by Glogowski for the party.
At the party were several individuals under the age of 21, police said. Those individuals were served alcohol.
The field itself sustained an estimated $5,200 in damage from vehicle traffic, a large bonfire and broken beer bottles, police said.
Glogowski faces one count of second-degree criminal mischief, a felony, related to the damage to the field. He also faces four counts of misdemeanor unlawfully dealing with a minor, related to providing alcohol to those underage, police said.
Glogowski was arraigned and released to return to court later.
