— City police are searching for a 91-year-old man they said has been missing since Thursday afternoon.

Police said Robert Jaenisch of Tamarack Trail came into the department about 12:55 p.m. Thursday to report a domestic incident at his home. While police investigated the report and found it did not rise to the level of a crime, they said Jaenisch told them he did not want to return home, but instead wanted to go to Florida, where he has relatives and has traveled in recent years.

Police subsequently received a call from Jaenisch's wife about 2:15 p.m. today, saying he never returned home from the police department Thursday.

Jaenisch is 5-feet-7, 173 pounds and bald with brown eyes. He is believed to be driving a white, 2009 Toyota Camry with New York license plates ANG3078.

Jaenisch is reported to be in good health, but family members are concerned for his safety. Police are asking anyone who may have seen Jaenisch since Thursday afternoon or who may have any information about his whereabouts to call them at 584-1800.
