By the end of Wednesday’s meet-the-candidates event for Schenectady school board, listeners were simply waiting to see how one candidate would manage to squeeze “early education” into his answer. Candidate Thomas Hodgkins found a way to get his focus into nearly every answer, whether he was asked about art and music funding or diversity in teacher hiring. What a waste Hodgkins is. How stupid does he think people who vote in school board elections are. His points are red herrings and straw dogs. His issues are those over which boards have no control or responsibility. He's like the Rand Paul of Schenectady. This is just a way to get himself positioned for some other electoral run.

Maybe he'll run for city council promising to remove all wet leaves from sidewalks in all Octobers.
