I agree Tom....this has nothing to do with the bullcrap SAFE Act. The guy was an unlicensed person in possession of a handgun.

".9 mm handgun"? Is that like a BB gun? Or did the writer mean "9 mm"?

Let's do some SAFE Act math......criminal gets 13 rounds, law abiding gun owner gets 7 rounds. That puts us at a 6 round deficit. I don't feel that SAFE.

What does the Safe Act have to do with an illegal weapon arrest. Unless it was a registered weapon and the person carrying the weapon had a carry permit would it have anything to do with the Safe Act.

This was no permit-holding, law abiding citizen caught in a SNAFU. This was a criminal with an unregistered, illegal firearm. Crediting the SAFE Act is pure political theater. We should all thank the Troy Police Dept. for doing their jobs. They are good men. Godspeed.
