Softball: BH-BL pulls out 5-4 win in 10th

Erin Sgambelluri and Courtney Haff drove in runs in the bottom of the 10th inning Tuesday, giving Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake a 5-4 win over Saratoga Springs in a Suburban Council softball game.

Saratoga had taken the lead in the top of the 10th when Madison Livingston drove in Sydney Vishneowski.

Sgambelluri drove in Bri Skpowski with the tying run in the home 10th, and after Brittany Ryan singled, Haff’s hit ended the game.

Ryan finished 3-for-5, and Haff had two hits and drove in two runs.

Sara Willner-Giwerc had three hits for Saratoga.

Stephanie Reinhardt went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI, helping Colonie beat Mohonasen, 8-5.

Cassandra Lupi hit a two-run home run for Mohonasen.

Katie Donnelly and Tammy Callanan both drove in a run as Shaker edged Ballston Spa, 4-3.

Schoharie got three doubles from Sydney Foland, and Lindsey Van­ier also had three hits, sparking an 18-1 win over Sharon Springs in the Western Athletic Conference.

Foland also threw a two-hitter, with Sarah Green and Marji Entrolezo getting the Sharon Springs hits.

Kali Nolan drove in three runs to back Sarah Heimbach’s five-hitter, getting Greenwich past Stillwater, 9-1, in the Wasaren League.

Heimbach struck out seven in raising her season record to 11-2. She also hit three singles.

Catcher Mariah Linnett added a triple and two RBI for 11-0, 14-2 Greenwich.

Amber Kelley had two of the Stillwater hits.

Frankie Pearson finished with four hits, and Rachel Pine went 4-for-5 with a triple as Hoosick Falls beat Cambridge, 17-2.
