I believe that it was Channel 10 News a couple week ago that ran a story on the pay of NY state workers. They make on the average more than $80,000 per year in salary and another $35,000 per year in benefits. This surpasses the private sector in pay, how did this ever happen? Unions is how. The private sector is what pays the salaries of the public sector if the public sector is larger than the private sector we are broke. Government does not stimulate economies, we have two choices, cut the state workforce or increase private sector jobs which means stopping the smothering taxes and regulations.
