Lacrosse: Scotties hold off Raiders, 11-10

Coltin Moseman and Jake Gargiulo both scored three goals as the Ballston Spa boys’ team edged Colonie, 11-10, in Suburban Council action Monday.

Five other Scotties scored in the win, and John Blake made 20 saves on the 30 shots he faced.

Colonie’s Mike Mineau scored four goals and assisted on one, and Brendan Deedy made 14 saves. Both Cam Carter and Brian Pfeil had two goals and an assist.

Cody Dyer had five goals and an assist to lead Guilderland to an 11-8 win over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.

Stephen Polsinelli added three goals and three assists for the Dutchmen, and Jake Smith had two goals and two assists. Ryan Rafferty made 10 saves.

The Spartans got two goals and an assist from Tom Keaneally. Will Clark had a goal and three assists, and Lucas Carter made 18 saves.

Shaker beat Bethlehem, 10-1, with three goals from Liam King. Jake Quay and Tim Leahy added two goals apiece, Quay adding an assist.

Drohan nets eight

Marjorie Drohan scored eight times to lift Schenectady to a 21-6 win over Hoosick Falls in a Capital District Women’s Lacrosse League game.

Kristen St. Andrews added four goals and an assist, Dahneaqah Henderson had three goals and an assist, and both Breona Richmond and Kaylie DelGiacco had two goals and an assist.

Hoosick Falls was led by Jordyn Haynes with three goals and Keri Wilkins with two.

Emma Hardy scored five goals, and both Emily Martin and Emma Malicki added four goals as Albany Academy beat Holy Names, 18-11.

The defending Section II champions also got a pair of goals from Gabriella Uccellini, and Olga Lukas made eight saves.

Holy Names was led by Tatiana Ensslin with four goals, while both Sally O’Toole and Catie Vivian had two goals and an assist. Taylor Barnes made nine saves.

Schuylerville got past Greenwich, 15-13, with three goals and an assist from both Samantha Marco and Breanna Miller. Carley Marcellus, Mariah Walsh and Megan Young each scored twice, Young adding an assist.

Kayla Goman factored into nine goals for the Witches, scoring six and assisting on three. Courtnie Harrington, Maria Patane and Emma Stein each scored twice, Harrington also assisting on a goal. Samantha Perry made 16 saves.

Emma Willard got four goals from Xani Schultis in a 19-7 win over Cohoes.

Samantha Kreda added three goals. Katie Smith, Kiki Cunningham, Natalie Kiley-Bergen and Francesca Gundrum each scored twice, with Kiley-Bergen handing out two assists and Gundrum five.

Katie Monson had five goals and an assist for Cohoes, and Hailee Walker had two goals and an assist.

Saratoga Springs topped Columbia, 16-6, with five goals and two assists from Briana Sirianni. Both Ann Mahoney and Hanna Wise had three goals, with Mahoney adding an assist. Zoie Cavotta made eight saves for the Blue Streaks (5-6 Suburban Council, 6-7 overall).

Shaker beat Bethlehem, 17-8, with seven goals and two assists from Julia Lennon. Aubdrey Conti added a hat trick and an assist,

Saray Cheney had two goals and four assists, and Eva Torncello scored twice. Julie Maloney made nine saves in the win.

The Eagles got five goals and an assist from Kaylee Rickert, Peri Lindh scored twice, and Mary-Kate McDonough made 18 saves.

Kelly Wall scored four times and handed out two assists for Shenendehowa in a 14-6 win over Averill Park. Both Katie Kerner and Kristen Connors had a pair of goals.

Jillian Rizzo made 18 saves as Glens Falls beat South Glens Falls, 13-8, in the Foothills Council.

Lauren Stamatel scored four goals for the Indians, and Lydia Knapp had three goals and two assists.
