$2M in bogus jobless claims recovered

Almost $2 million was returned to the state’s Unemployment Insurance fund last year as the result of investigations by the state Department of Labor and local district attorneys’ offices into fraudulent claims. The district attorney’s office in Schenectady recovered the eighth most of any county in the state, with $87,731 of fraudulent payments recovered.
