Schenectady man accused of kidnapping, assaulting woman

A Schenectady man faces a high-level kidnapping count, accused of assaulting a woman with a beer bottle and then forcing her into a vehicle and taking her to a Thruway truck stop early Thursday, authorities said. The woman was able to use a cellphone and call police shortly before 4:30 a.m., but wasn’t freed until around 6 a.m., according to papers filed in court.
