Troy police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect in a bank robbery today at the First Niagara Bank branch at 820 Second Ave.

Police are searching for a heavy-set white or Hispanic man, about 6 feet tall, with a moustache and light growth on the chin, gray, fleece-type hooded jacket with rectangular logo on the left breast, winter watch type cap with yarn ball on top and horizontal color stripes, black and white gloves.

The suspect fled the scene, but there was no clear direction of travel, police said. It is not known how much money the robber made off with.
