School lacrosse: Curtis powers ’Burgh

Shay Curtis scored four goals and assisted on two, and five other Lansingburgh lacrosse players had multiple points in a 14-12 Wasaren League win over Voorheesville Tuesday.

Ben Wilson fired in eight goals for the Blackbirds.

Peter Herrick scored four goals, and Nick Barone made 16 saves as Columbia shut out LaSalle, 9-0, in a non-league game.

The Shenendehowa girls opened their Suburban Council schedule with a 15-2 win over Ballston Spa. Kristen Connors had four goals and eight points for the Lady Plainsmen.

Christie Raymond had four goals and three assists, and Allison Butler had a goal and five assists in Queensbury’s 17-12 non-league win over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.

Nicole Beardsley paced BH-BL with four goals and one assist.
