Saratoga County deputy charged in tire-slashing incident resigns

A long-time member of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department resigned Monday after being charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief for allegedly slashing a woman’s tire in February. Shawn Nolan, 51, of Ballston Spa, had been suspended without pay from his job as a deputy after being charged Feb. 7 by village police.
