— Union hockey is headed back to the NCAA hockey tournament.

New Jersey native Max Novak scored twice, leading the fourth-seeded Dutchmen to a 3-1 victory over seventh-seeded Brown in the ECAC Hockey tournament championship game at Boardwalk Hall on Saturday.

The Dutchmen (21-12-5) won their second straight tournament title. They become the first team to do that since St. Lawrence in 2000 and 2001.

Union goalie Troy Grosenick, who made 32 saves, was named Most Outstanding Player.
