Mother, son charged in alleged assault of son's girlfriend
BERNE A mother and son are facing charges in the alleged assault of the son’s 18-year-old girlfriend.
The alleged victim told police she was punched and choked by her boyfriend, 17-year-old Harold Albright III of 1578 Heidelberg Trail, while returning from the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Albany. The victim said she tried to leave the vehicle numerous times when it stopped but Albright pulled her back into the vehicle, according to Albany County sheriff’s deputies.
Albright’s mother, 46-year-old Mary Miesowicz, also of Heidelberg Trail, was operating the vehicle, deputies said. The victim admitted Miesowicz supplied her alcohol before the incident, according to police.
Albright was charged with felony second-degree strangulation and misdemeanor counts of third-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment. He was sent to the Albany County jail on $11,000 bail.
Miesowicz was charged wish misdemeanor counts of unlawful imprisonment and unlawful dealing with a child. She was sent to the Albany County jail on $6,000 bail.
