Gloversville plant being fixed up for sausage maker

Work is under way to retrofit a former leather facility to accommodate a meat-smoking operation in Gloversville, the Fulton County Center for Regional Growth announced Tuesday. Pata Negra LLC will be moving into the former Perrone Leather facility at 20 Industrial Parkway. The company, run by food product entrepreneurs based in Spain, is planning to make cured meats using domestic and foreign pork, according to a CRG news release.
