— Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery Sunday night on Union Street that left a 29-year-old woman lying on the ground with minor injuries.

The woman called the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office on her cell phone at 9:56 p.m. and Saratoga Springs police were dispatched to the area near 75 Union St. They found the woman lying on the ground, conscious but in obvious distress, with visible minor injuries and complaints of pain.

Police said Monday it appears the victim was walking alone at the time of the assault when she was approached from behind by at least one and possibly more male subjects who knocked her to the ground. The victim’s wallet was located close by and its contents strewn in the area.

The victim was taken to Saratoga Hospital where she was treated and released from the hospital.

Police did not yet have a suspect description of the robber or robbers.

Do you mean that the "Springs" isn't the mecca everyone claims? How can that be? Someone should tell all them Schenectady folks who claim it to be so.
