Schenectady bank robbed, suspect in custody

— Police have detained a man in connection to the robbery of the Trustco Bank on upper Union Street this morning.

Bank officials called police at 9:47 a.m. to report that the bank had just been robbed, police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said.

Police quickly took a man into custody. Dearing said he expects that man to be charged with robbery later today.
