Man accused of striking Albany cop during brawl after St. Patrick's Day Parade

— Albany Police arrested two individuals for disorderly conduct and assault following the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday.

At about 4 p.m. Saturday, beat officers assigned to parade security observed a fight in the area of Washington Avenue and Swan Street.

As officers were dispersing the crowd, Clint Junco, 18, Delmar, lunged at and struck an on-duty police officer in the face with a closed fist, police said. Junco was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer.

Additionally, officers arrested Najee Bennett, 17, of Bethlehem, for disorderly conduct for engaging in tumultuous behavior.

The fight occurred after the parade had concluded and the crowd was quickly dispersed.

Since Saturday, a video of the incident surfaced online. It depicts some pushing and grabbing degenerating into an out and out fist fight. Though the voice of the videographer is audible and his face is shown at the end of the clip, his identity is not clear at this point.
