Warren County motorist indicted in death of pedestrian

— A Lake George man was indicted on manslaughter and related charges in connection with the death of a pedestrian in the town last summer.

Officers from the Warren County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday arrested Myron B. Green, 20, of 198 Middle Road in Lake George.

According to the sheriff's office, Green was traveling southbound on Lake Shore Drive in Bolton last June 21 and struck and killed 36-year-old pedestrian Donald Norton, who was walking in the area. Green operated his vehicle in a reckless manner and did so while his ability to operate the vehicle was impaired by prescription drugs, the report said.

He was charged with manslaughter, second degree, a class C felony; vehicular manslaughter, second degree, a class D felony; criminally negligent homicide, a class E felony; vehicular assault, second degree, a class E felony; driving while ability impaired by drugs, a class A misdemeanor; and reckless endangerment, second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Green was arraigned at Warren County Court and remanded to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
