— Authorities have confirmed the name of the 64-year-old woman who died Tuesday in a three-vehicle crash on the Northway between exits 9 and 10.

Saratoga County Coroner John DeMartino confirmed that the woman was Barbara Weinstein of Dobbs Ferry. She also had a home in Saratoga Springs, he said. Weinstein was declared dead at the scene.

There will be no autopsy on her, because of religious reasons, DeMartino said.

"There's no real need. We know what basically happened, and the cause of death would be blunt force trauma," he said.

Weinstein was the passenger in a red Porsche that lost control in the southbound lanes around noon Tuesday, causing a chain-reaction crash with a tour bus and a construction van.

Her husband, Steven I. Weinstein, 65, remains in critical but stable condition at Albany Medical Center, state police said in a press release.

They have not determined a cause of the crash or finished their investigation.

Four Saint Michael's College lacrosse players on the tour bus suffered minor injuries that were treated at the scene.
