DENNING -- A Saratoga Springs native was killed last week in Ulster County.

Jamielynn Bleakley, 37, born in Saratoga Springs, died Thursday at Westchester Medical Center from injuries suffered during a March 6 attack.

Gerald K. Babcock, 39, was charged with first-degree manslaughter Monday. State police believe the pair were living together for months prior to the incident and there had been indications of domestic violence during the relationship.

Bleakley, who suffered multiple injuries, was found outside her residence by emergency medical personnel responding to a 911 call around 8:30 a.m. March 6. She was taken to Catskill Regional Medical Center and then Westchester Medical Center.

State police investigated the incidence with the help of the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.

Babcock was arraigned and sent to Ulster County Jail without bail.

Memorial services for Bleakley will be held Saturday at the Wiltwyck Cemetery in Ulster County.
