It's March Madness -- for the Tri-City ValleyCats' Media Bobblehead Bracket Buster Tournament, also known as BobbleVote.
Gazette college hockey and media writer Ken Schott is one of the participants vying for his image to placed on this year's bobblehead.

The ValleyCats have selected 16 personalities from Capital Region television, radio and print media to participate in a month-long bracket buster tournament to determine who becomes the next media bobblehead giveaway at "The Joe."
Voting will take place online only, at www.tcvalleycats.com/bobblevote, and is limited to one vote per person, per day. To vote, click here.
Each participant has selected a charity that they will represent throughout the entire tournament. Fans will vote each week up until Monday, April 8, when the winner will be announced.
The winning media personality will be featured in their very own bobblehead doll, to be given away to the first 1,500 fans through the gates at "The Joe" on Monday, Aug. 19. This participant's charity will receive a $1,500 cash donation and also sponsorship of the giveaway night. The runner-up's charity will receive a $1,000 donation and third place $500. Each charity will be recognized at "The Joe" during the game.
A short preliminary round of voting began this morning and lasts through Sunday at 9 p.m. Based upon the results of the preliminary round, each of the participants will be seeded into the Round of 16 bracket accordingly. 16 vs. 1, 15 vs. 2, 14 vs. 3, and so on.
The Round of 16 will begin on Monday, March 11, at 10 a.m. and will be open for voting through Sunday, March 17, at 9 p.m.. Three more rounds of voting will follow, until a champion is announced on Monday, April 8.
Each round of voting takes place from Monday at 10 a.m. until Sunday at 9 p.m. Results will not be displayed during the voting period, but will be announced online. The ValleyCats will provide daily voting updates through their Facebook page to keep fans updated.
