Scotia-Glenville district will not close a school

Board concerned with future growth

The Scotia-Glenville Central School District Board of Education is not closing any of the district’s elementary schools — at least for the 2013-14 school year. The board on Monday took that option off the table as it looks to close a roughly $1 million budget gap. If all programs and personnel were maintained for the next school year, the budget would increase by a little more than $2 million, from $47.8 million to $49.9 million. ...
