Barkersville property nominated as historic place

A 100-acre property that includes an old country store that served residents of the hamlet of Barkersville for three generations has been nominated for inclusion on the State and National Registers of Historic Places. I delivered mail to Ms. Packard for 10 years. She was one fine lady. Always with a smile. Everyone in Barkerville and Middle Grove knew her and all loved her. I hope they put Packard family Homestead on the Historic Register. It has my vote.
