— Thursday’s Alive at Five concert, featuring JT Taylor, has been moved from the Albany Riverfront Park to the Palace Theatre on Clinton Avenue because of the threat of heavy rain.

The series of free Thursday night concerts, Alive at Five runs through Aug. 8, with bands including George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, The Original Wailers and Skeeter Creek.

Thursday’s show opens with The Ill Funk Ensemble, which blends hip-hop, neo-soul, R&B and rock. Headliner JT Taylor is known as the voice of Kool & The Gang, the disco, soul and funk band active since the mid-’60s.

With up to two inches of rain predicted, the show will move to Alive at Five’s indoor location, The Palace Theatre, at 19 Clinton Ave. Doors open at 4 p.m. on Thursday and all seating is general admission.
