Saratoga County child attacked by fox; DEC to test for rabies
SARATOGA A 9-year-old boy was bitten multiple times by a fox Sunday before the animal was killed by the child’s father, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office reported.
According to police, the boy was playing outside at 136 County Route 67 in the Town of Saratoga when the fox attacked him without provocation, puncturing his leg and hands.
The boy was brought to Saratoga Hospital for treatment.
The fox is in the possession of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and will be tested for rabies.
