There’s an understandable firestorm of protest going on in Round Lake over the firing of longtime librarian Theresa Marchione, and it may turn into a tornado Tuesday night if the library board doesn’t reinstate her at its monthly meeting. It does sound like there is some kind of back story because you don't fire a 24 year employee over something like this.
The director and board owe the community (and Ms.Marchione) more than silence.
